Sam Ewing

Sam Ewing has dedicated his life to his passion for timepieces, which began when his grandfather first introduced him to mechanical clocks, sparking a fascination that would shape his future. After attending watchmaking school, Ewing worked at a jeweler in the Kansas City area, where he gained first-hand experience providing service to Rolex customers. This combination of a solid foundation and practical work set Ewing up perfectly to make teaching the next phase of his career.

Pursuing his calling, Ewing uprooted his life to join the Rolex Watchmaking Training Center. His primary focus is introducing students to various calibers and then providing them with the theoretical knowledge underpinning each one. Through comprehensive training, he aims to mold them into accomplished watchmakers who leave his class equipped with the knowledge and aptitude to tackle any watchmaking challenge, regardless of their prior experience. Ewing knows that while watchmaking can be intimidating, every problem can be tackled one step at a time with some patience and a willingness to learn from one’s mistakes.
